Creating a Manual or Draft Order in Shopify.

You can create orders for your customers and send them invoices from the Shopify admin. By default, the invoice contains a link to a checkout, where your customer can pay for their order. The draft order is converted to an order when you accept payment for it. Draft orders are similar to the orders that your customers create for themselves. Shopify’s manual order allows you to order as many samples as you want at your cost.

Steps to create a Draft Order in Shopify.

1. In your Shopify admin locate and click Orders, then click on the Create Order.

2. In the Customer section, click on the search bar, and from the drop-down menu select if the order is for an Existing Customer or a New Customer.

  • For Existing Customer: Select the name of the customer.
  • For New Customer: Fill in all the details of the customer, then click Save customer.

3. In the Products section, Search for products that you want to add.

4. Also, you can click on the Browse button and search products according to your requirements.

5. When you find a product that you want, select an item and click on Add.

6. Click on Add Discount.
